Manhunt launched following homophobic attack on south London train

British Transport Police say a man used homophobic language and assaulted two people on a train in December.

Police have released CCTV images as part of an investigation into an incident aboard a train, where a man used homophobic language against two other passengers before assaulting them.

According to the British Transport Police, the incident took place just before 7:30pm 27 December 2021 on a service between London Bridge and East Croydon.

They add that one of the two victims suffered a broken toe, which required hospital treatment. 

Police have released CCTV images of a man they'd like to speak to in connection with the attack

Police believe that the man featured in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.

They're asking anyone who may recognise him, or have any information about him, to contact the British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 374 of 27/12/21.
