Ricky Martin and husband Jwan Yosef ‘texted for six months’ before meeting

Ricky Martin has discussed the early day of his relationship with his husband Jwan Yosef.
The pair married in 2017, and are fathers 12-year-old twins Valentino and Matteo plus daughter Lucia, two, and son Renn, one. (Ricky welcomed Valentino and Matteo as a single parent in 2008.)
‘Livin’ la Vida Loca’ singer Ricky discussed his and Jwan’s relationship in the new Behind the Music docuseries for Paramount+.
“Okay, this is over. What a beautiful man”
“I met Jwan through Instagram, believe it or not,” Ricky reportedly said. “I saw his art, and I’m like, ‘Who’s the artist?’ and it said ‘Jwan Yosef,’ and I’m like, ‘That’s such a cool name, but I wanna see his face.’
“And then when I saw his face, I said, ‘Okay, this is over. What a beautiful man.'”

The 49-year-old continued: “We texted for sixth months, and then sixth months later I fly to London, where he used to live, and I say, ‘Well, let’s meet.’
“When I got out of the car and I saw him, I said, ‘Whoa. Wait a minute, I think this is the man of my life and I think I am going to marry him.'”
