Terry Crews apologises for comment saying children with same-sex parents are ‘severely malnourished’
The actor made the homophobic comment on Twitter and was unable to understand why the community were angry

Terry Crews has apologised for his homophobic tweet claiming children with LGBTQ parents are ‘severely malnourished’.
The Brooklyn 99 actor is not usually someone you would find under attack by a minority community but Crews – who admitted to be sexually assaulted in the #MeToo movement – caused backlash after posting a homophobic tweet.
Following his comments, the actor continued to defend his point of view despite backlash from the LGBTQ community.
However, the actor has now deleted the comment claiming children with same-sex parents are malnourished and has since apologised after ‘sitting down’ with his co-star Stephanie Beatriz, who identifies as bisexual.
He wrote on Twitter: “Had a great talk with Stephanie Beatriz this morning on set that shed a lot of light on why the LGBTQ community were hurt by my comments.
“I want to apologize for anyone who was triggered or felt targeted. I was speaking out of my very personal experiences as a Black Father.
