Tyler Posey has cleared up any confusion over whether he belongs to the LGBTQ community in his latest interview, saying his sexuality “fits under the queer umbrella.”

Good to know!

What’s more, the Teen Wolf star – who has gained thousands of new LGBTQ fans since joining content subscription service OnlyFans last year – also hits back at allegations of “gay-baiting” during the chat.

In the past, Tyler has spoken publicly several times about hooking up with guys, but has stopped short of putting a label on his sexuality.

“I’m sexually fluid, I guess. No, not ‘I guess'”

Discussing his girlfriend Phem during the interview with NME last weekend, the 29-year-old said: “I’ve been with everybody under the sun, and right now I’m in the best relationship that I’ve ever been in with a woman, and she’s queer too.”

The star continued: “She’s helped me realise that I fit under the queer umbrella and that I’m sexually fluid, I guess. […] No, not ‘I guess’. I don’t want anyone to take this [interview] and be like: ‘Well, he was kind of wishy-washy about it.’”

Tyler went on to brand allegations that he had been ‘gay-baiting’ by opening up about his past sexual experiences with men as “bizarre” and “really cruel”.

Explaining one troll told him to kill himself, Posey added: “[They also] made this one comment that kind of sparked me wanting to do something about cyberbullying. They said: ‘I killed your mother’ – like, this person actually claimed they killed my mother.

“[…] I’m sober now and I’ve been working a lot on my mental health, so I’m in a place where I can somewhat laugh at that kind of thing. But I know that other people who deal with this kind of shit may not be as strong mentally.”

Urban Dictionary defines ‘gay-baiting’ as when “a straight person is flirtatious with people of the same sex for the self-esteem boost and personal satisfaction.”

In an OnlyFans post yesterday, Tyler further teased his plans to fight against cyberbullying, writing: “We raised over $24K for the month of June! I love you guys thank you so much for the contributions. I’m going to use this for only good and spreading awareness for bullying and cyber bullying.

“I want a positive safe world for all of us no matter who you are. You guys are helping make this world a better place, you all deserve to have a beautiful life. Thank you so much for helping.”

Tyler is also known for roles in TV shows Scream: Ressurection and Fast & Furious Spy Racers.
