RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7 has crowned its winner – and it is…
*drum roll / this is your final chance to avoid any spoilers*
Still with us? OK: Jinkx Monsoon!
The queen, who originally won season five of Drag Race faced off against other Drag Race and All Stars winners Monét X-Change, Shea Couleé, and Trinity The Tuck for the title of ‘Queen of all Queens’, a cash prize of $200,000, and a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics.
After a season that saw no eliminations but queens accrue Legendary Legend Stars based on challenge wins the emotional final episode saw the queens take part in a LaLaPaRuZa lip sync smackdown for the crown.
In the first lip sync, Jinkx competed with Shea to Lady Gaga’s ‘Judas’. Monét challenged Trinity to ‘So What’ by Pink.
Ultimately Mama Ru decided Jinkx was the winner after Monsoon faced off in a final lip sync against Monét to Katy Perry’s ‘Swish Swush (feat. Nicki Minaj)
The remaining queens – Jaida Essence Hall, Raja, The Vivienne, and Yvie Oddly – took part in their own lip sync smackdown to earn the title of Queen of She Done Already Done Had Hers and a cash prize of $50,000.
Eventually, it came down to Raja and Yvie Oddly with the title going to the former.
Speaking of her win Jinks said: “Drag is my passion and something I’ve dedicated half my life to at this point. I feel so grateful to be invited here and I just hope to share the gifts that [RuPaul] has bestowed upon me with everyone else out there.
“And show them that we are all beautiful, no matter who we are or how we present ourselves to the world. And I claim this in the name of Hecate, mother of witches – thank you!”
Congrats Jinkx – a worthy winner!
