Chris Mears presents Ella Henderson with Attitude Award

Former X Factor contestant Ella Henderson took home the prize for best Breakthrough Artist at the Attitude Awards on Monday night (October 13).

The award was presented by Team GB diver Chris Mears, who told the audience: “[Ella] proved you don’t need to win The X Factor to get a Number One single.”

The 18-year-old, who topped the charts with Ghost earlier this year, then told attendees at the event in Banqueting House in central London: “This is my very first award at one of these events, so it does mean a lot.”
