Watch Nigella present Conchita Wurst with her Attitude Award

Conchita Wurst’s widely-hailed Eurovision victory was named Moment of the Year at the Attitude Awards on Monday night (October 13) – and Nigella Lawson was on hand to present the Rise Like a Phoenix singer with her award.
After walking out to rapturous applause, Nigella told the audience: “Despite all the progress in equality laws, this hasn’t been a great year for Europe – or, frankly, anywhere else in the world. But who’d have thought that the Eurovision Song Contest could shine as a beacon of hope against the face of prejudice?”
After receiving her award from the domestic goddess, an emotional Conchita said: “Thank you so much. This was an amazing year for me so far. I won the Eurovision Song Contest this year and believe me, I’m not used to winning.”
