Sarah Jessica Parker teases Sex and the City 3: ‘There is one last chapter to tell’
By Sam Rigby
Sarah Jessica Parker has teased the possibility of a third Sex and the City movie.
The actress – who played fashionable Carrie Bradshaw in the original HBO series and subsequent feature films – admitted that “timing is a peculiar thing”.
SJP told InStyle: “A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell. But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn’t a decision that can wait forever. I don’t want to have to wear muumuus!”
Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte haven’t been seen on screen since Sex and the City 2 in 2010. The sequel was panned by critics and threw the chances of a third movie into doubt.
However, SJP’s co-star Kristin Davis also spoke about Sex and the City 3 in an interview with Haute Living late last year.
“I don’t think [a third film] is a pipe dream, there is discussion,” the Charlotte actress said. “People talk about it amongst the people who are the players, but I don’t know if it will come together. It would be very exciting if it did.”
Would you like to see Carrie and the girls back for Sex and the City 3? Or do you think it is best left alone? What did you think of the first two movies?
