By Aaron Pandher

In the words of Walt Disney, “Dreams are forever”. The magic continues as people from across the globe currently have the opportunity to participate in Disney’s Create 100 auction featuring pieces from LGBTQ+ creators like Harris Reed, Marc Jacobs and more. Icons such as Beyoncé are also part of the fun. This event marks a century of Disney’s creative legacy and showing support for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

This worldwide event allows audiences to bid on and acquire unique items, artworks, and exclusive experiences generously contributed by prominent innovators and emerging talents in the realms of fashion, music, art, and more. Many of us have grown up with Disney: from learning to fly with Dumbo and feeling unconditional love with a melting Olaf. Each of these offerings draws inspiration from the creators’ personal ties to the enchanting stories and beloved characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century, meaning you can bring the magic of Disney into your own home. The auction is taking place in 18 countries between October 12 to October 30, 2023. All proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish.

Some of the incredible lineup of auction items includes:

  • Black is King catsuit, worn by Beyoncé
  • Portrait of Kate Moss inspired by Disney’s Tinker Bell by David Downton by Charlotte Tilbury
  • ‘The Sea Queen Shoe’ by Christian Louboutin
  • Disney Mickey Mouse [Archival] Sweatshirt by Marc Jacobs
  • ‘NAMASTE MICKEY’ by Sabyasachi Mukherjee
  • Disney x TH Varsity Jacket by TOMMY HILFIGER
  • Disney and designed by Virgil Abloh Securities’ design firm, ALASKA ALASKA
  • And many more

What piece is calling your name?

As we gear up towards Christmas, it offers a moment of reflection to what truly brings magic into our lives. In honour of this meaningful endeavour, Disney has made a generous donation of $1 million USD (£827,000) to Make-A-Wish on a global scale. This will be used to support the fulfillment of life-altering wishes for children facing critical illnesses. Over a span of more than four decades, Disney and Make-A-Wish have collaborated to make dreams come true for over 150,000 children worldwide, who are grappling with critical illnesses. Disney takes immense pride in being the leading wish-granter for Make-A-Wish across the globe.

Let’s continue to keep the magic alive…
