To celebrate Graham Norton’s 52nd birthday today, we’ve had a look back at some of our favourite ever moments from his talk show.
1. Cher doesn’t know her own songs
Sharing the sofa with Dawn French, Cher was asked to identify her own songs purely based on how people were dancing to them – something she had a bit of trouble with. Things got better when Graham pulled out a microphone with ‘Cher effects’.

2. Joan Rivers absolutely hates Glee
There were plenty of laughs in this episode, considering the unholy alliance of Joan Rivers and Jeremy Clarkson. Rivers expressed her disdain for the happy go lucky musical drama show, as only she could.

3. Audience verdict on Fifty Shades of Grey
As much as we enjoyed the banter between Jamie Dornan and Julie Walters – and the sight of Jamie eating a cake version of himself – it was one audience member’s review of the Fifty Shades franchise that really tickled us.

4. Lady Gaga and June Brown become BFFs
Not just one of Graham’s greatest moments, but surely one of TV’s greatest moments: the friendship that blossomed between Lady Gaga and Dot Cotton herself, thus stealing the attention of the entire show. Even Jude Law got sidelined.

5. A Fresh Prince of Bel Air dance off
Another slice of TV gold when Will Smith was joined by his son Jayden, and his Fresh Prince co-stars Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton) and DJ Jazzy Jeff, for an epic sing and dance a-long.
