Aaron Taylor-Johnson cast in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’
By Josh Haggis
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is to appear in the Fifty Shades of Grey film adaptation.
During an interview earlier this week, the actor’s wife and director of the upcoming film, Sam Taylor-Wood, was asked whether she had managed to find a role for her husband.
“Actually, I have” she told Access Hollywood – but refused to give any further details on the 23-year-old’s part in the film.
Shooting of the upcoming film wrapped in February. Former Calvin Klein model Jamie Dornan was cast as Christian Grey when Charlie Hunnam dropped out last October (2013).
Dakota Johnson (Ben and Kate) will co-star as Anastasia Steele, the college student who is seduced by powerful businessmen Christian Grey, while the supporting cast includes Jennifer Ehle, Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Rita Ora, who is providing a song for the soundtrack.
Since they were first published in 2011, the three Fifty Shades novels by EL James – real name Erika Mitchell – have collectively sold over 70 million copies worldwide.
