ABBA tease new project ‘Voyage’ and we have a dream it’s about new music

ABBA have unveiled several new social media accounts today (26 August 2021) to tease their upcoming mystery project Voyage.
The ‘Super Trooper’ singers have a dedicated website, plus @ABBAVoyage Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts complete with blue ticks, dedicated to the project. All bear the same simple but exciting message.
“ABBA Voyage 02.09.21 join us abbavoyage.com,” the posts read, alongside a picture of what appears to be four solar eclipses.

The band – comprised of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad – are known for hits like ‘The Winner Takes It All’, ‘Take a Chance On Me’ and ‘Thank You For the Music.’ Their last studio album was released in 1981.

Despite their 39-year hiatus, ABBA had things in the pipeline for a while, with Bjorn previously revealing that the band had been recording together back in 2018.

“It took seconds and we were back like yesterday.
“It was great fun doing it again and the strange thing is when those two ladies start singing together, there is that sound that is not like any other. It’s just [a] coincidence we should meet and those two make those sounds together. Yet that is the ABBA sound.”
ABBA’s record sales are estimated to be between 150 million and 385 million worldwide.
