‘Absolutely Fabulous’ actor Christopher Malcolm dies, aged 67

actor Christopher Malcolm has passed away at the age of 67.
Malcolm played Justin, the gay ex-husband of Jennifer Saunders’ character Edina, in the much-loved BBC sitcom. In the show, Malcolm’s Justin walked with a cane and often appeared alongside his longtime partner, Oliver.
Malcolm, who hailed from Aberdeen in Scotland, was also known for his role as Brad Majors in the original stage production of The Rocky Horror Show at London’s Royal Court Theatre. He later co-produced the 1990 West End revival of Richard O’Brien’s iconic risque musical.
As an actor, Malcolm also took on small roles in films including Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Labyrinth and Highlander, and made guest appearances on TV shows such as Only Fools And Horses and Lovejoy.
He is survived by his wife, actress Judy Lloyd, and daughter Morgan, who confirmed his passing on Twitter. “Today the world lost a beautiful, brilliant man,” she wrote. “My dad Christopher Malcolm left peacefully and with dignity. He will always be my hero. X”
