Here’s some cheery news to warm you up on a cold January morning! The Olympic figure skater medallist, Adam Rippon, has revealed he and his partner, Jussi-Pekka “JP” Kajaala tied the knot, in a small, private ceremony on New Year’s Eve.
Posting on social media on Wednesday 19 January, the former Attitude cover star explained that the ceremony was a relatively spur-of-the-moment thing given they had been spent sometime last year planning something lowkey.
Sharing a picture of the happy couple, and their dog, Tony, on Instagram, Adam, 32, said: “SURPRISE 🥂 WE ARE MARRIED🥲❤️”
“Let’s just go do it now”
Continuing he said: “One afternoon JP and I looked at each other and said the very classic *romantic* phrase of “let’s just go do it now”. So we did. It was just the three of us and it was perfect 12/31/21”

Last August the Dancing with the Stars alum told People that the couple were planning a “city hall wedding,” which he said was more to his liking. He told the magazine: “Weddings, for some people it’s like a day that they can make all about them and it’s just a day to celebrate everything, right?
He then asked, “Do I need a wedding if I make every day about me? Probably not. I probably need a day off. So, courthouse: logical, cheap. Me: logical and cheap.”
The couple confirmed last February that they were engaged after dating since 2018. They met on Tinder offering hope to anyone thinking it’s impossible to meet someone on the apps.
Congrats to the happy couple!
