Adele announces new album ’25’ with heartfelt statement
By Nick Bond

Days after surprising everyone by dropping a teaser of her new music during an X Factor ad break, elusive chanteuse Adele has confirmed that her upcoming third album is called 25 in a heartfelt statement posted to Twitter today.
While there’s still no world on an official release date yet (c’mon Adele, this is torture!), the multi-million selling singer-songwriter does at least acknowledge that it’s been quite a wait since her world-conquering sophomore 21 was released way back in January 21, saying ‘I’m sorry it took so long, but y’know, life happened.’
She also says that, while 21 was very mud a break-up album, this new collection is more a ‘make-up album’, recorded as she was turning 25 and making peace with herself. Take a look:

From what we know, Rumour Has It producer and One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder has been working on the album, as has Danger Mouse, while Swedish hitmaker Max Martin has reportedly contributed a single.
Pharrell Williams has also revealed that he’s been working with the 27-year-old, praising her as a “masterful writer”.
“She’s kinda like, ‘OK guys, I’m gonna open my diary for 20 minutes’. So it’s like, OK, you have 20 minutes, or 32 minutes really,” the NERD star said of working with the star back in June.
“Then she gives it to you and closes it up and disappears, and she’s off with her beautiful boy – and that’s what it’s all about.”
Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran told Capital FM last month: “I haven’t heard [Adele’s album], but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude… that record!’ Apparently, it’s really good.”
So, iTunes surprise-release this Friday then? Look, we can dream.
