Pop juggernaut Adele has announced two homecoming performances at Wembley Stadium next summer, to conclude her multi-million-pound-grossing world tour.
The star, whose latest album 25 was named British Album of the Year at the Attitude Awards 2016, announced the news via Instagram yesterday (November 23).
In the video, the 27-year-old sings lyrics from The Lightening Seeds’ iconic British anthem’Three Lions’ before (unsuccessfully) attempting to boot a football across an arena. “Fucking hell, it’s in my face,” she jokes, before adding: “Thank God I’m not a footballer.”
She then goes on to announce the extra nights, and pulls off an admittedly pretty impressive header before the clip ends.
The two shows will take place on June 29 and July 1 2017, with tickets going on sale from November 30 for her fan club members, and December 2 for everybody else.
Adele’s world tour has seen her connect with gay fans all over the world, from accepting a gay couple’s invitation to their wedding, to bringing her drag doppelganger on stage and dedicating a show to the victims of the Pulse Nightclub terrorist attacks in June.
