AJ Pritchard and Pasha Kovalev will be a same-sex dance couple for the first time on Strictly Come Dancing.
The two professional dancers have been regular competitors in the BBC ballroom and Latin dance competition and for the first time in the show’s history, the two male dancers will perform together, the Sun reported.
The move, which is confirmed by Aj in our new October issue, out next Thursday (13 September) after multiple calls for same-sex couples on the show form the likes of head judge Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel-Horwood.
Now, Pritchard, 23, and Kovalev, 38, have reportedly teamed up to dance some of the professional routines together and Karen Clifton is also expected to pair up with another female dancer.
A source said: “Some of the dancers have been rehearsing some same-sex pairings with plans to introduce them to a few of the professional numbers.
“There have been a lot of calls for same sex pro and celebrity pairings on the show so this is an ideal way to integrate into the format.”
