All Saints' Shaznay denies Mel B once tried to 'rip her weave off' in a toilet

Shaznay Lewis has hit back at Mel B’s claims that she once beat up the All Saints singer in a toilet, saying it’s totally untrue.

Earlier this week, Mel B recounted the story on an American podcast, saying: “There was this girl group called All Saints, and I had already beaten up one of them in the bathroom, the black girl Shaznay. She started giving me attitude so I went in the bathroom and tried to rip her weave off.

“And she chokes me and then we kinda got split up – but I won.”

Now, a spokesperson for All Saints have spoken to Digital Spy and totally denied the claims.

“Shaznay says this story is not true,” they said. “Mel B once came to an All Saints show and was invited to the after party. Mel and Shaznay had a brief friendly chat and that was all.”

They added, “Otherwise they don’t really know each other – so we are baffled as to why Mel would make this up.”

It’s not all beef between the girls though. When Mel was telling the story, she admitted she’s a fan of All Saints’ new comeback material.

“The funny thing is they just brought out a new record last week,” referring to ‘One Strike’. “It’s really good!” she said.
