Last night’s RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars offered a bitterly ironic but also sweetly full circle moment when episode winner Ginger Minj sent home RPDR veteran Pandora Boxx – a queen she says “inspired” her to want to pursue drag stardom.

Pandora bowed out of the competition after landing in the bottom with Trinity K. Bonet; both bombed in the Snatch Game challenge, with Pandy’s impression of Sex and the City‘s Kim Cattrall [below, centre] and Trinity’s take on Whitney Houston failing to impress.

However, Ginger – who won the challenge with her impersonation of Phyllis Diller – later singled out Pandora’s iconic impression of Carol Channing on RPDR SE2 for special praise.

“Thank you”

In the werkroom, Ginger told Pandora: “Thank you, honestly, because the very first Snatch Game, I was in love with your Carol Channing.”

The 36-year-old continued: “It’s what, like, inspired me to wanna do stuff like this.”

“Well, you’re welcome,” replied a dignified Pandora.

Nevertheless, Ginger ultimately eliminated Pandora after winning a lip-sync against guest star Heidi N Closet.

Pandora finished in sixth place on All Stars, after finishing in fifth place on RPDR SE2 back in 2010, on which she was also named ‘Miss Congeniality’.

Ginger first appeared on the show on SE7.
