The release date for the ninth season of American Horror Story has been revealed and it’s closer than we imagined.
Back in April, series creator Ryan Murphy revealed the title for the anticipated ninth season in the anthology series called American Horror Story: 1984.
In a chilling video posted on Instagram, a woman is being chased through the forest by an unknown man carrying a knife – in a sort of Texas Chainsaw Massacre/Friday the 13th-esque style.
As the woman finds refuge in a log cabin, the knife-weilding man stands on the other side before smashing the knife through the door.
But now, FX Network has revealed that the series will be returning on September 18.

We still don’t know much about the series except for Emma Roberts will be returning and newcomer and openly gay Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy has been cast to play her boyfriend.
