Ariana Grande has kicked off a new era by dropping her video for new single Positions – and it features her as the US President.
Can you imagine?
The clip sees the pop superstar treating the halls of the White House like a runway, looking amazing in the Oval Office and walking her dogs in the Presidential gardens.
“Switching the positions for you”
She’s also seen chairing a meeting of diverse political figures, before ‘switching positions’ and showing off her domestic side.
She’s then seen making pizza dough in an elaborate kitchen, before reclining on a king-sized bed. Just don’t imagine Trump in these… positions.
During the earworm-worthy-as-per chorus, she sings over plucky strings: “Switching the positions for you, cooking in the kitchen and I’m in the bedroom, I’m in the Olympics way I’m jumping through hoops, know my love infinite nothing I wouldn’t do, that I won’t do, switching for you…”
As ever, the song and video are flawless. Well done, Ari.
The video precedes the US election on 3 November, which will see current President and Republican leader Donald Trump go head-to-head with Democrat Joe Biden. Perhaps Ariana will run in 2024? Stranger things have quite literally happened…
