Avicii throws shade at Madonna's Rebel Heart?

Avicii has claimed he was misquoted after giving an interview in which he appeared to throw shade at Madonna’s latest album Rebel Heart.

The Swedish DJ – real name Tom Bergling – produced several tracks for Madge’s 13th studio LP, including Devil Pray and the title track, but said in an interview with the Daily Star that he wasn’t pleased with how the songs turned out.

“At the beginning we were all on the same page and then…I wasn’t….happy with the final product,” he reportedly said.

The Wake Me Up hitmaker went on to say that he preferred the early demos which were leaked ahead to the album’s release.

“I thought it was better,” the 25 year-old added of one the tracks. “It was more me.”

The DJ has hit back against story on Instagram however, saying he was “misquoted” and that the interview was “out of context”.

Alongside a picture of the journalist who conducted the interview, he wrote: “@jack_hardwick93 thanks for your misquotes and completely out of context interview – I will never talk to you again.

“P.S – What a slimey phoney c*nt u are my friend.”

Well, that sounds fairly decisive.

Meanwhile, Madge recently revealed that Bitch I’m Madonna will be the third single to be lifted from Rebel Heart, which reached number two on the Official UK Albums Chart on its release in March.

The 56-year-old teased the video for the track will feature “many suprise guests”, prompting speculation that we could be in store for a Bad Blood-style celeb-filled visual.

Bitch I’m Madonna will serve as the follow-up to Living for Love and Ghosttown, which peaked at number 21 and 117 on the UK Singles Chart respectively.
