Azealia Banks: ‘I wanna pepper spray a gay man when he calls me a bitch’

Not one to simmer down easy, Azealia Banks launched into another expletive-filled diatribe on her Instagram page yesterday (September 25) replying to a user who challenged her use of homophobic language by prophesying that the “bitch” will bleed to death one day when his/her hemorrhoids explode.
The latest outburst comes after footage of the Chasing Time rapper calling an air steward a “fucking faggot” during a confrontation onboard a plane from New York to LA emerged online earlier this week. She once again denied being homophobic, reminding followers that she is bisexual, has a transgender brother, and declaring that America “picks and chooses” what language it deems offensive – but quickly managed to get into another brief spat yesterday on the social media site.
After a user commented under one of her posts saying: “Imagine the pain young gay fans feel when they hear the vile things you say @azealiabanks”, the 24-year-old responded by saying: “oh well imagine how I wanna spray a gay man in the face with pepper spray everytime he calls me a bitch a slut or a hoe.
“Kiss my ass. Goodnight.”
The Instagram user wrote back: “@azealiabanks if the shoe fits,” followed by “omg what an evil thing to say??”
To which the Banks replied: “Keep fucking with me if you fucking want to,” before adding in typically loquacious style: “One day your hemmroids [sic] are going to burst and you’ll bleed to death bitch.”
The outspoken star first came under fire for her use of homophobic language in 2013, when she labelled gossip blogger Perez Hilton a “fag” during a highly-publicised Twitter row. She later apologised for using the slur, saying that she hoped “the entire LGBT community can forgive her”. She later went on to previously claim that doesn’t use the term “faggot” as an anti-gay slur, but as a way to describe “anybody that hates women”.
“A lot of gay men are way more misogynistic than straight men,” she said at the time. “The shit they say about women behind their backs, it’s like: ‘Wow, oh my God!’ You can be a straight faggot, you can be a gay faggot. A faggot is anybody that hates women.”
