BBC confirms Drag Race UK series four premiere date

The BBC has confirmed that the fourth series of Drag Race UK will begin airing on BBC Three and Player on 22 September. 

Over ten weeks twelve queens from across the land will compete to become the UK’s next Drag Race superstar through a series of challenges designed to test their Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent. 

On Wednesday (31 August) it was revealed that among the celebrity guest judges joining Mama Ru, Michelle Visage, Alan Carr, and Graham Norton are TV’s Alison Hammond, Dame Joanna Lumley, and Olly Alexander. 

Also set to appear on the show are: actress Hannah Waddingham, Boy George, fashion model and celebrity chef Lorraine Pascale, Spice Girls member Mel B, model, presenter, and influencer Leomie Anderson, and FKA twigs

Tess Daly and AJ Odudu will be taking part in Snatch Game, while Aisling Bea will be helping out with a comedy challenge.

Legendary singer-songwriter Cathy Dennis will also stop by the Werk Room, and Strictly Come Dancing 2021 champion dancer Giovanni Pernice will be putting the queens through their paces.

The last series of Drag Race UK concluded with Krystal Versace being declared the winner, following in the heels of The Vivienne and Lawrence Chaney. 

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Series 4 returns to BBC Three and BBC iPlayer on 22 September at 9 pm.
