Beabadoobee, Ashnikko, and DJ Vegyn are among the musicians taking part in a new series mixing sound healing with the pop stars of 2022.

Higher Frequencies, a video and audio series from Woo and Neuroaesthetics Studio, Kinda studios, is a first-of-a-kind series that will use deconstructed beats by today’s artists alongside hypnotising visuals to create a series of films designed to help listeners unwind in a sound healing session like no other.

Sound healing is a holistic therapy utilising music to impact someone’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Across four 10-minute sessions, listeners are invited to unwind into a mellow state via the frequencies of tracks Beabadoobee, singer-songwriter Ashnikko, and the British producer and DJ Vegyn, best known for his work with Frank Ocean.

Ashnikko – Boost your energy with the uplifting remix of Ashnikko’s ‘Daisy’.

Beabadoobee – Calm your mind and find peace with the meditative remix of Beabadoobee’s ‘Talk’.

Vegyn – Fall asleep with sonic dreams to Vegyn’s very own soundscape. Tracks reworked by Kinda Studios, Aaron Horn and Nailah Hunter

Sound healing is thought to help reduce depression and anxiety; increase overall happiness; improve sleep; relieve trauma and balance out emotional levels by clearing the mind and inviting you into a deep relaxation (the latter being one of the most universal benefits of the practice).

Stephen Mai, the founder & CEO of woo says,–”People think Sound healing is f***ing weird, it’s alienating and woo woo. Singing bowls are just not relatable. But honestly, it’s one of the easiest ways to calm your nerves.

“We wanted to reimagine what this ritual could be through a cultural lens. How do you make something so inaccessible interesting to a broader audience?

“We approached our favourite artists and worked with sound healers and neuroscience experts to turn iconic tracks into songs that can physically change your mood – making you hit natural highs.”

Robyn Landau, the Co-Founder & Director of Kinda Studios adds, “Sound is one of the most powerful ways to regenerate our emotional, physical, and mental health. When our brain and body interact with the vibrations of sound, they form a synchronised choreography to support deep states of relaxation on a cellular level.

“We worked with woo to embed this science into the creative production of Higher Frequencies to maximise the wellbeing benefits of the series.”
