Bette Midler wants to complete her EGOT and reveals she will be performing at the Academy Awards this weekend.
Following news that Adam Lambert and Queen will be taking to the stage, the iconic film and theatre actress took to Twitter to reveal she is also set to perform this weekend at the prestigious film and TV awards ceremony.
Writing on Twitter, Midler – who has won an Emmy, Grammy and Tony award – made fun of the fact that she has yet to win an Oscar despite being nominated twice and asked for anyone who has an “unengraved statue” lying around to give her it.
She wrote: “Yes, I’m performing on the Oscars this Sunday!
“That’s a reminder for the viewers, but also for the Academy voters who might have an extra, unengraved statue lying around – this lady needs one to complete her EGOT!”
