Beyoncé does a Beyoncé and releases surprise single and video
Whilst we’re all perched and getting ready for Beyoncé to join Coldplay on stage during their Super Bowl half time performance tonight, Queen Bey has sprung another surprise digital drop on us, by releasing a brand new single and music video to go with it.
The powerful single ‘Formation’, Beyoncé’s first single in over a year, is available to stream and download for free exclusively on Tidal.
‘Formation’ speaks of political and social issues with Beyoncé often singing about race throughout the track, and the video includes imagery showing police raising their hands to a black child, according to the Daily Mail Online.
The video also shows lighter scenes, however, of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s young daughter Blue Ivy dancing with friends.
