Brent Corrigan talks early porn experiences and why he wants nothing to do with King Cobra

Brent Corrigan is the most well-known man you’ve never spoken to your mum about. The legendary porn star has been a hot topic once again in recent months, thanks to James Franco’s King Cobra, which tells some of the story of Brent’s adult film career.
The star caught up with YouTube personality Davey Wavey for his Business of Sex YouTube series, where he revealed some stories from his early porn career, why he’s keeping his distance from King Cobra, and what inspired him to start riding horses instead of, well, you know…
“Gay porn is a way of life”, Brent says. “It’s a day in and day out thing, cultivating fans, travelling.
“A couple of years ago I got to a point where porn wasn’t giving me what I thought it would. I stepped back and thought – what would make me happy? For me, my passion was always horses. I went back to jumping with horses.”
It might look like it’s all crisp bed sheets and high gloss (depending on your tastes, of course), but the, erm, finer intricacies of porn are far from glamorous, it seems. Brent shared one particular anecdote that shows the lengths actors are willing to go to so we can get off.
“On my first Falcon film, Velvet Mafia – don’t watch it for the acting. It’s so bad in that – the makeup guy had me stand on my head in a chair with my feet straight up in the air, and he put some lube in an enema bottle to fill me with,” he recalls.
“But he didn’t fill the bottle all the way up. So he also put the air in me. So if you can just imagine an ass full of air, and a 12 inch d**k that needed to go in…”
Heroic stuff.
But despite the rocky start, Brent is now one of the most well known names in gay porn – so it’s no wonder he’s the subject of Franco’s new film. But despite shining the spotlight on Brent’s career, the former porn star wants little to do with the film: “I didn’t want to be a part of that film if they weren’t going to tell my story. I read the script – and it wasn’t my story.”
Instead, he’s setting the record straight in his own words with a tell-all book.
“I am being brave and I’m self-publishing my book. I’m aiming for an October 31st release date, on my 30th birthday.”
