Jonathan Bailey has revealed that he had a little wardrobe malfunction in the crotchal area while filming the second season of the hit Netflix show, Bridgerton.
The new season will see Jonathan’s Viscount Anthony Bridgerton choose to settle down and move away from his rakish behaviour.
During a press conference ahead of the premiere of season two on 25 March, the 33-year-old actor said an on-screen fight led to the embarrassing moment.
“It’s all on camera”
Speaking about a scene where the Bridgerton brothers – Anthony, Benedict (Luke Thompson), and Colin (Luke Newton), are sparring, Jonathan said: “The fencing outfits were quite tight in various different places and we were wearing plimsolls on quite a dewy morning on the grass.
“Going in for my final lunge with Benedict, my crotch ripped and it’s all on camera,” he continued.
“It’s just in those moments where you suddenly realise you’re being filmed by four different cameras and I sort of screamed, ‘This is just so embarrassing!'” the actor went on to say.
Still, Jonathan was mindful that the men can’t complain about tight costumes when their female co-stars are dressed in corsets.
The aforementioned scene is briefly glimpsed in the series’ trailer. See below:
