Britney Spears’ expressionist painting ‘to go on display at French art gallery’
Van Gogh is running scared, y'all.

It’s the Brit-naissance we weren’t expecting, but that, if true, we’re fully here for.
A French gallery is claiming it will showcase artwork by Britney Spears later this month, in an event that would mark the pop princess’ first solo exhibition.
Galerie Sympa, in the small French village of Figeac, announced on Monday (13 January) that it will be hosting an exhibition of the singer’s work later this month, Artsy reports.
The unexpected announcement included an image of a painting of flowers that Brit donated to a charity auction back in 2017, which later sold for $10,000.
A video shared to Brit’s social media at the time showed herself creating the colourful expressionist work at her home as Mozart plays in the background.

The upcoming exhibition on 18 January is reportedly titled “Sometimes you just gotta play!!!!!!”, in honour of Brit’s caption at the time.
Despite sending an earthquake through the fine arts establishment, details about the show at Galerie Sympa remain thin on the ground, with gallery co-director Jean Colombain apparently failing to provide Artsy with any further details.
Whether the painting will indeed be on display or whether it’s all an elaborate ruse remains to be seen, but should the reports turn out to be true, it could demonstate once and for all that Britney is out here doing what the other girls aren’t.
