Britney Spears reveals why she’s collaborated with Iggy Azalea

Britney Spears has revealed that she couldn’t wait to work with Iggy Azalea after seeing her perform on TV.
Spears – who began working on her ninth studio album last year – is thought to have met up with Azalea to record her brand new single during her recent trip to the UK to promote her lingerie line.
In a new interview with Extra, the legendary entertainer says that she requested the collaboration as soon as she heard that Iggy was a fan.
“I saw her song on TV and I was like a kid in a candy store,” she said. “I was like, ‘I love Iggy, I love that video, I want to work with her,’ and it was really weird, because a week after that her manager was like, ‘She’s a huge fan of yours.’ I was like, ‘Let’s do something together,’ so it worked out.”
The anticipated track will be the first new music from the Break The Ice singer since she released her eighth studio album Britney Jean. The album – which featured singles Work Bitch and Perfume – failed to match the success of her previous records, peaking at a disappointing Number 34 on the Official UK Albums Chart.
Meanwhile, Spears recently had a weave-related mishap during a live performance of Do Somethin’ in Vegas this week – watch what happened here.
