Channing Tatum begins work on ‘Magic Mike 2’
By Sam Rigby
Channing Tatum has started work on the script for the forthcoming Magic Mike sequel.
Tatum starred in and produced the 2012 stripper film and is tipped to direct the sequel, as well as working on the script.
Channing posted a picture of himself writing the script, with a bust of Matthew McConaughey’s character Dallas on his desk.
He wrote: “What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas? #runatribe”
2012’s Magic Mike also starred Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer, and was directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Soderbergh retired from making feature films last year and is therefore not expected to be involved with Magic Mike 2.
