Cher is the fierce new face of Marc Jacobs

The first face of Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2015 campaign has just bee unveiled – and it’s only bloody Cher.

The legendary singer – who celebrated her 69th birthday last week (May 20) – was shot by photographer David Sims looking as fierce as ever in a semi-sheer, pleated, black dress, topped off by an embellished jacket and and gloves.

The Burlesque star joins the impressive roster of famous faces who have modelled for Marc Jacobs, including the likes of Victoria Beckham, Sophia Coppola and Dakota Fanning.

Announcing Cher’s big debut for the brand, the designer took to Instagram to share the picture, writing, “The amazing and beautiful CHER!” before teasing: This is just the beginning…. More to come!!”

Cher meanwhile, announced the news on Twitter in her own inimitable style…
