Cher performs ABBA classic ‘SOS’ on Ellen: WATCH
The iconic singer performed ABBA hit 'SOS' and revealed why she isn't a Cher fan on the show.
Music icon Cher dropped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday (September 7) and opened up about some of the projects she has coming up.
The singer is releasing an entire album of ABBA covers later this month. Titled Dancing Queen, the album will cover ABBA hits ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Waterloo’, ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)‘ and more.
Appearing on Ellen, Cher got the audience dancing by performing a cover of ‘SOS’, one of the many songs appearing on the album.
Also on the show, Cher revealed she isn’t actually a Cher fan. When asked if she’d will be doing any more remixes of songs, the singer said: “I don’t know. It was such a whim kind of thing. It wasn’t serious but then, when I did it, I’m really proud of it.
She quickly added: “And I’m not a Cher fan. I’m really not.”
After Ellen asked Cher if she doesn’t like her own music, Cher replied: “No. I don’t want to listen to it, I don’t want to see it. I don’t want to hear my voice.”
Meanwhile, the 72-year-old also discussed the time she and Meryl Streep saved a girl’s life while out for ice cream in New York, and was trolled by Ellen after she shared unreleased footage of herself in Cher’s ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ music video.
