Cheyenne Jackson talks 'AHS: Hotel' and crushing on Matt Bomer

He’s one of the hunky new additions for American Horror Story’s upcoming fifth installment, and Cheyenne Jackson has spoken out about working with series creator Ryan Murphy, and crushing on his equally delectable co-star, Matt Bomer.

Both Jackson and Bomer’s characters are set to get hot and heavy with Lady Gaga’s evil, bisexual hotel-owner Elizabeth (who was revealed in full for the first time last week) which surely raises the tantalising prospect of some kind of group love scene, right?

It certainly won’t be a problem for Jackson though, who clearly appreciates Bomer’s beauty as much as the rest of us. Speaking to Out, the 40-year-old United 93 star admitted he had to agree with Channing Tatum’s recent admission that “No matter if you’re a man, woman, cat, hamster, you will get lost in Matt Bomer’s eyes.”

“Channing is right,” he said. “Matt looks like he’s carved out of cream cheese. He’s just so perfect and smooth and gorgeous. We were in hair and makeup one time, sitting side by side, and I was like, “Are you kidding me with that face?”

Jackson added that he was looking forward to reuniting with Ryan Murphy – who he previously worked with on Glee – on his “favourite show”.

“He saw me in a play years ago and has been a huge champion of mine. I was hoping at some point I’d be able to do American Horror Story – it’s my favourite show,” he revealed.

“I liken working with Ryan to what it must be like working with Woody Allen. You know it’s going to be intense and creative, and you’re going to be working with the highest caliber of people, and you have to jump in the deep end of the pool together.”

Frankly, after Lady Gaga’s cast party last week, complete with blood red-dyed pool, we’re not even sure that’s a metaphor…
