The official title of the third instalment of the Jurassic World franchise has been announced.
Back in 2018, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom saw the likes of Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) release the dinosaurs into the modern world instead of allowing them to be gassed to death.
We also had a brief glimpse of Jeff Goldblum reprising his role as Ian Malcom at the very end of the film.
And since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating the third instalment. And now we have a title.
Director Colin Trevorrow posted an image on social media revealing the title to be Jurassic World: Dominion… and now we have questions.
Pratt reposted the same image as filming began this week and teased the why the third instalment is called Dominion.
Writing on Instagram, Pratt said: “Sovereignty or control. ‘Man’s attempt to establish dominion over nature.
“#JurassicWorldDominion Hold onto your butts.”

Although not much else is known about the third movie, fans of the original film – which was released in 1993 – cannot contain their excitement as it has been confirmed that Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum will ALL be reprising their roles as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcom respectively.

And what self-righteous gay man would ever forget Goldblum’s iconic shirtless scene? None!
Here’s a reminder in case anyone forgot…
Joe Mazzello – who played Tim in the original movie – is also rumoured to be heading back to fight against dinosaurs.
Tim was last seen briefly in Jurassic Park: The Lost World but was never seen or heard of again.
Mazzello teased his return this week on Twitter and wrote: “I think it’s time to get back to work. What do you say gang?”

Fans have taken this to mean he is returning to the franchise – but it has not yet been confirmed officially.
But if it does, we hope that Tim’s sister Lex – played by Ariana Richards – is also back.

Pratt previously teased that ‘all’ the original cast would be back and said: “It’s got everybody. It’s got pretty much everybody in it.
“Maybe I just blew it, but I don’t care. All the cast from the original Jurassic Park is coming back.
“It’s going to feel very much like how Endgame brought everything together for Marvel.”
Jurassic World: Dominion has a release date of June 11, 2021.
