Clint Eastwood’s son Scott: ‘My dad and I support same-sex marriage’

By Josh Haggis

Scott Eastwood has revealed that both he and his father support same-sex marriage.

The 29-year-old actor, who is the son of screen legend Clint Eastwood, has said that he’s grateful for his gay following and insisted that he’s a vocal supporter of gay marriage ahead of the US Supreme Court’s upcoming landmark ruling.

“I love it. I don’t discriminate against any fans. Fans are fans, and gay men are great,” Eastwood, who was recently cast in DC Comics’ big budget screen adaptation of Suicide Squad, told PrideSource.

“I support gay marriage and the whole bit,” he said. “I think everybody should be able to be with who they want to be with. My dad is the same way. He’s a total Libertarian – everyone leave everyone alone.”

Eastwood went on to talk about his father, Clint, who once told a reporter that he “doesn’t give a fuck” if people want to marry someone of the same sex.

“I’d give the same fucking quote – that’s perfect. I’m a firm believer that everyone’s human. We’re only on this planet for a short period of time, and we should all just be as kind as we can to other people because, in life, all you really have is how you affect people, in a negative way or a positive way,” he added.
