Antony Cotton has signed a new contract with Coronation Street.
The Sean Tully actor will remain on the ITV soap for another 12 months at least, with a new storyline planned for autumn.
He tweeted: “It gives me the greatest pleasure to say that I have just signed a new contract with @itvcorrie. Happy days!”
Cotton joined Coronation Street in 2003, and remains a prominent character, working in both Underworld and the Rovers Return.
However, he hasn’t been involved in a major storyline since Sean’s split from Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) in 2012.
However, the actor has teased a “very exciting and unique” storyline for Sean for later in the year.
