Demi Lovato opens up about her sexuality: ‘I’m very fluid’

Demi Lovato has opened up about her sexuality. 

The ‘Confident’ singer had previously refused to address speculation about her sexuality but revealed that she was “open” to dating women at the premiere of her documentary Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated last year. 

Lovato explained that she’s looking for a “human connection” and is open to whoever that could be with. Now, in an interview with InStyle, Lovato has opened up on how she sees her sexuality.

“I’m very fluid, and I think love is love,” she explained. “You can find it in any gender. I like the freedom of being able to flirt with whoever I want.”

Later on in the interview, Lovato hinted she’s ready to embrace online dating and insisted she isn’t “suffering” alone. 

She explained: “There were many years I was in a relationship and I wasn’t learning about myself. Now I’m learning about what I like, what I need, and what I want.” 

The singer then added that she wants someone who will make her laugh and treat her “like a queen”. 

“I’m normally the first one to make the move. I’m always the one who says, ‘Let me get your number.’ Or I slide into their DMs on Instagram.” 

Lovato made headlines earlier this week after helping a man surprise his boyfriend with a proposal on stage during one of her shows.
