Diana Ross has joined Twitter and the results are amazing
By Nick Bond
Earlier this week, the legendary Diana Ross, 71-year-old singer, actress, Supreme and seller of more than 100 million records worldwide, joined Twitter. This momentous landmark may have passed you by, focused as we all were this week on Caitlyn Jenner joining Twitter – and promptly smashing Barack Obama’s record for fastest time to reach 1 million followers.
Ms Ross’s Twitter debut has been more of a soft opening, with a little over 25,000 followers thus far – but as her first tweet heralded, she’s having a great time:
I am on Twitter now and loving it
— Ms. Ross (@DianaRoss) June 3, 2015
So far, so good. However, Diana’s tweets soon took a strange turn:
I'm not a writer but here's a song idea Song idea
"It all get better"— Ms. Ross (@DianaRoss) June 4, 2015
Get Sia on the line, that sounds like a hit in waiting.
Then there’s this lovely sentiment, apparently presented in the form of a Haiku:
As I go to sleep tonight
I set my intention to
have a good night sleep, & and be truly thankful for this day.— Ms. Ross (@DianaRoss) June 4, 2015
And if anyone knows what this next tweet means, please contact us at once:
I love that popping sound when someone has just said hello -hello back
— Ms. Ross (@DianaRoss) June 4, 2015
While Diana Ross has tweeted just seven times so far, we’ve got one thing to say: Cher, watch your back. Your position as the most enjoyably incomprehensible diva on Twitter is UNDER THREAT.
