Disney are giving another classic animation a live-action makeover

By Josh Lee

Disney are turning animated classic Snow White into a live-action film.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney’s first feature-length animation, and was released 1937.

There have been recent live-action twists on of Snow White, including 2012’s Mirror Mirror, and a darker version called Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart.

Disney has found success with their live-action remakes such as Maleficent, The Jungle Book and Cinderella, and have already lined up Beauty and the Beast, Mulan and The Lion King to be turned into live-action films.

The Girl on the Train writer, Erin Cressida Wilson, is in talks with Disney to write the script for Snow White.

Marc Platt, who also is working with Disney on Mary Poppins Returns, is said to be part of the production.
