The Disney Channel has made history by portraying its first-ever same-sex teen couple in the series finale of Andi Mack.
In the final ever episode of the Disney teen drama, 13-year-old Cyrus Goodman (played by Joshua Rush) was seen holding hands with his fellow schooler TJ (Luke Mullen).
The scene was just many from the teen show after Cyrus was the first ever Disney character to come out and use the words ‘I’m gay’.
The show ended with the two characters holding hands and the actors took to social media to confirm that the couple were dating.
Rush wrote on Twitter: “Guys, gals, and nb pals, i can now tell you: tyrus endgame canon and confirmed.”

“I hope my character can inspire people to be proud of who they are and love who they love.”

Although the show ended with the groundbreaking moment, fans will not be able to see their relationship blossom as the show was cancelled earlier this year.
