Disney has announced that they are working on The Incredibles 2 and Cars 3.

Disney President Bob Iger revealed the exciting news yesterday (March 18).

The news follows the announcement that The Incredibles and Ratatouille will both be released in 3D.

The Disney President said that Brad Bird, director of the first instalment of The Incredibles, is currently working on the story for the follow-up, while Pixar are already hard at work on the next Cars movie.

Last year, Pixar also announced they are working on a sequel to Finding Nemo, titled Finding Dory – set for release in JUne 2016.

The Incredibles was released in 2004 and went on to become one of Disney Pixar’s most loved films, receiving universal acclaim, and grossing over $600 million (£361 million) at the global Box Office. However, Cars 2 was panned by critics and fans in 2011.
