Dolly Parton and Katy Perry to duet live at Country Music Awards

Dolly Parton has announced she’ll be duetting with Katy Perry at next month’s Academy of Country Music Awards.
Writing on Twitter, Parton said, “I’ll be collaborating with the ever amazing and oh so talented @katyperry at this years @ACMAwards!”
Perry chimed in to say, “MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED I shall remember though that I am but one sequin on this living legend’s costume!”
At the event, the Academy will honor 10 time ACM Award winner Parton with the Tex Ritter Award for her television movie, Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors, based on her childhood experiences.
Speaking of the award, Parton said, “This is a great honor, to be able to accept something that’s so personal to me like ‘The Coat of Many Colors,’ a true story from my childhood.”

The performance will take place at country music’s biggest night in Los Angeles on April 3.
