‘Drag Race UK’ Brit Crew member surprised by boyfriend with onstage proposal at the Attitude Awards – WATCH
Matt Lister got the shock of his life at Camden Roundhouse on Wednesday (9 October).

The Attitude Awards have seen a lot over the year: laughter, tears, royalty (and no, we don’t just mean Cher).
But the annual celebration of all things LGBTQ marked another milestone on Wednesday night (9 October) as the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, bore witness to its first ever proposal.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Brit Crew member and Attitude fitness columnist took to the stage alongside Peppermint, Courtney Act, Miss Tess Tickle and Cheddar Gorgeous to help present the prize raffle draw – unaware that his partner Ben had a surprise in store for him.
As Matt held the raffle draw (wearing just his Union Jack-emblazoned Brit Crew underwear), Ben got down on one knee to pop the question, declaring: “Matt, I love you with all my heart. Would you like to marry me?”
Overcome with emotion, Matt burst into tears as he accepted, prompting rapturous applace among the 600 guests at Camden Roundhouse.
Even more fittingly for Attitude’s resident fitness expert, Ben proposed with a plastic weightlifting ring, sharing an emotional embrace with his new husband-to-be after placing it on his finger.
The couple later celebrated backstage, before celebrating their engagement into the early hours at the official Attitude Awards afterparty.
Congratulations boys. Looks like we might be needing a new hat…
