Jujubee has responded to comments by fellow RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World queen Jimbo that her “best isn’t good enough”.

After Jimbo was eliminated over Jujubee by Pangina in one of the series’ most shocking gags, Jimbo used her own appearance on Tea Time to take aim at Jujubee’s performance on the series.

Speaking to Tia Kofi and Attitude on Tea Time, in association with Taimi, the LGBTQ dating, and social network app, series finalist Jujubee responds to the Canadian queen’s remarks and reflects on her recent runway performance.

“It’s really interesting to see that headline because that’s always been in my mind my entire life, ‘You’re not good enough, you’re just not good enough'”, says Juju.

“But because of that headline, a lot of the fans came for me, and I took it with grace but I think that elimination… I didn’t do the elimination, but I was a victim of the consequences of the elimination.”

Juju concedes that her “package” of looks for the international series wasn’t as good as what she brought to All Stars 5, but that a combination of time and the pandemic hindered her preparation.

Arguing that queens don’t have much time to prepare prior to starting a series, Jujubee recognises that “what I showed up with as far as my package, it just wasn’t as great as it was on All Stars 5, like my package on All Stars 5 was incredible.”

She continues: “And I was happy with it and I was in a better headspace too because it was pre-pandemic.

“So coming into this with kind of my brain playing tricks on me and telling myself that I wasn’t good enough already with the package that I brought.

“You know, can you believe I brought ‘Snakes On A Plane’ and a blue wig?!”

The series finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World will be on BBC Three and Player from 9 pm on Tuesday 8 March.
