Duncan James joins the cast of Hollyoaks

In case you need any more excuses to stare at Duncan James, he’s announced that he’ll be giving us a daily teatime treat as part of the cast of Hollyoaks.

Duncan will join the cast after his recent stage performances in Chicago, Legally Blonde and, of course, as Tick in Priscilla Queen of the Desert – (if you’ve not seen Mr James in full drag, check out out here immediately).

Starring as Ryan, who will be moving to the village with his family, Duncan said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Hollyoaks team! I’m looking forward to working with the fantastic on and off screen talent on the show and bringing the character of Ryan to life.”

A spokesperson for Hollyoaks says of Duncan’s arrival: “Ryan is a good guy in a committed relationship who will move into the village. He is a grounded family man with principles and integrity but who will fight tooth and nail for what he believes in.”

Duncan’s first scenes will screen on Channel 4 this summer.
