EastEnders’ Luisa Bradshaw-White on marriage plans
EastEnders actress Luisa Bradshaw-White, who plays Tina Carter in the long-running soap, opens up about her wedding plans with partner Annette Yeo in the new issue of OK! Magazine.
The couple, who are parents to two daughters, had a civil partnership in 2006 – but say they can’t wait to have a full wedding, with their daughters as bridesmaids.
“We’re getting married because we legally can now,” says Bradshaw-White. “We know we’re going to grow old together – I don’t want anyone else.”

The 40-year-old, who plays a gay character in EastEnders, says that she hopes talking about her real-life same-sex relationship in OK! will help others.
“People ask me if I want to be a gay role model and I say no, I just want to be me and if I do help people to come out then that’s fantastic. That’s why it was important to me to do this shoot.”
Similarly, Bradshaw-White said she hoped her role as Tina in EastEnders – a character who is involved in a budding romance with Natalie Cassidy’s Sonia Foweler – was helping to normalise same-sex relationships for viewers.
“I think it’s absolutely brilliant. Somebody actually tweeted the other day that what they loved about Tina was that she was she was just really normal. They said that it’s lovely to see a lesbian portrayed just like anybody else in the Square.”
