Ellie Goulding set for ‘X Factor’ judging role?

Ellie Goulding is reportedly being lined up for a role on The X Factor judging panel.
Rumours about who will be joining the panel have been rife ever since Simon Cowell announced that he would be returning to the UK show following a three-series absence.
Louis Walsh, whose position on this year’s panel has yet to be confirmed, has now spoken to The Sun, saying: “I’ve heard Ellie Goulding. I just hope it’s a girl.”
Goulding appeared on the show twice as a performer during its 2013 run.
Walsh’s comment about Goulding follows news earlier this month (March) that Cheryl Cole will be returning to the panel after leaving the show in 2010.
Cole, 31, appeared as a judge on the original British version of The X Factor for three series before leaving to join the US version. However, she was sacked before the American remake aired and later won a $1.8 million (£1.1m) settlement from the show’s producers.
Dannii Minogue has recently ruled out an immediate return to the British show, saying: “Definitely not coming back to The X Factor UK this year… but never say never [in the future].”
