Enrique on playing G-A-Y: ‘This guy just grabbed my package!’
By Will Stroude
Enrique Iglesias has revealed that he has “never been grabbed so much” as when he performed at G-A-Y back in 2007.
The Spanish-American star, who brought a guy onstage before serenading him with signature hit Hero during the set, recalled the moment he was groped by a fan during his performance at the iconic London gay club.
“There was this moment I’ll never forget,” he said. “I was singing one of my songs and this guy just grabs my package!
“I thought he was just gonna grab it, but he grabbed it and looks at me and gives me a thumbs up, like it was the most normal thing in the world! I was just laughing like, ‘This is hilarious!'”
The 38-year-old singer, whose latest single I’m a Freak recently peaked at number 4 in the charts, went on to add: “I think there’s something about a club with all men… Guys are not shy, dude! Primal! But it was so much fun. It was a great experience and I’d love to do it again.”
